John and Nora Bray are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Not only are they hilarious, they are kind and generous, and above all, they are amazing parents. Their three year old son Cooper is such a cutie-pie, and their house is filled with love. The Brays adopted little Cooper in 2009 as an infant, and they are now beginning the adoption process again with the hopes of growing their family. So when they invited me into their home to take photographs for a website they will be setting up in the near future, I was honored! Although the weather was a bit overcast at the start of the session, we worked with what we could indoors... Cooper immediately showed me all of his cool toys, and he was especially proud of his UNC basketball. Luckily, the sun came out, because the backyard was amazing! Filled with a huge playground set and even some authentic baseball seats from the Durham Bulls' stadium, it was a great place to play and hang out and take pictures! Check back in a few weeks to see an update on the Brays' website. I'll be sure to post a link! And keep this family in your thoughts... if you now of anyone who might be a candidate for the Brays to contact, don't hesitate to let me know!

Oliver is going to be a big brother!
This beautiful family invited me into their home for a maternity photo shoot, and it was truly one of the prettiest backdrops I've had the pleasure to photograph. Their stunning property and gorgeous house made for the perfect setting, and two year old Oliver stole the show! A little shy at first, he immediately started to warm to the camera, and by the end of the session, he was giving me a tour of his yard and house. He's going to be a great big brother, and I can't wait to meet the new addition to the family!

Little Liam
What a great time I had with this new little peanut and his mama and dad! Only four weeks old, Liam was completely aware of all happening around him, and he was all about his first photo shoot! His parents are so much fun... fellow Virginia Tech grads and college football fanatics, we often times had to stop ourselves from chatting too much in order to focus on the real reason I was there! And oh, such a reason- Little Man is beyond lovable, completely photogenic, and such a good baby. I loved being in a house filled with so much joy, and meeting this new little Hokie was the best! His mama runs an incredible fashion blog that I encourage all to check out and follow: Haute Child in the City. It's clear where Liam gets his style...
