Time flies...

I met this great family just weeks before I had Miss Charlotte... they were my very last session before I stopped working for a bit, and I will always hold that special time close to my heart. Blair and I were in such similar situations, and she and her husband were truly some of the most sincere and lovely people I've had the pleasure of working with here in Raleigh.  We blinked, and her newborn is six months old, her toddler now a young boy!  And a very fast moving boy, at that!  It was wonderful to see them again, in a different season, and a little less sleep deprived... what sweet faces~

Wedding Photos, Take 2!

What a unique and fun experience this was for me and for this great family!  Two lovely people who have been married for five years and are now the proud parents to two lovely children decided they wanted a family session that involved retaking some wedding photos!  This lucky mama got to put on her dress all over again... and she rocked it.  She looked so incredible, it was hard to believe she wasn't a newlywed.. Fun fact: years ago, when I was still teaching, I used to shoot some weddings on the weekends, but it had been years since I've done anything like this.  This was a beautiful way for me to get back into the wedding groove (temporarily...)!  Enjoy these fun photos- two sessions packed into one!

Dimples

This session was a blast for me to do, because these beautiful faces are my next door neighbors!  Our babies are all very close in age, and we love having this crew nearby.  It was wonderful to get them in front of the camera at Oak View Park a few weeks ago... check out the dimples on the faces-  the best!

Can't count on the weather...

This session had been on the calendar for awhile... so it was disappointing when major thunderstorms and a cold front rolled in the night before, and we were a little unsure if we should proceed.  The morning of the session, we found out that the location where we had originally planned to shoot had suffered damage from the storms, and trees were down everywhere!  We quickly reprogrammed, decided to move forward at a different location, and I'm so glad we did-  these faces are fantastic!  Outfits had already been chosen, and the boys (and Mom!) were troopers despite the chill. You'd never even know that it was cold.  Thanks to this family for persevering through the weather.  I love how it turned out despite the change of plans!
