Stroller Strides' Second Birthday

When I first moved to Raleigh last summer, I was not only new to the area, but I was new to staying at home with a baby.  My outlet for both fitness and friendship had diminished significantly with my little one in this unfamiliar city, so when a friend suggested I seek out a local Stroller Strides, I followed up and went to a class.  I have since become a regular participant, gotten back into shape, and  met some great ladies and their beautiful babies!  The program allows for moms of all fitness levels to workout with their children and for the babies to interact and play with other babies, too.  When the Midtown Raleigh franchise and its owner, Missy Currin, celebrated a second birthday last week, it was a pleasure for me to capture some of the fun.  For more information on Missy's awesome program, visit HERE.

Cooper is three!

The Brays initially contacted me to photograph their family for some pictures for an adoption profile (see that story HERE).  They followed up with a session in honor of Cooper's third birthday.  Nora had the perfect place to hold the shoot, and we enjoyed a beautiful Saturday morning together.  Cooper really couldn't have been a better behaved three year old-  he was such a little model the entire time!  Happy Birthday Cooper!  

Room for one more!

John and Nora Bray are some of the nicest people I have ever met.  Not only are they hilarious, they are kind and generous, and above all, they are amazing parents.  Their three year old son Cooper is such a cutie-pie, and their house is filled with love.  The Brays adopted little Cooper in 2009 as an infant, and they are now beginning the adoption process again with the hopes of growing their family.  So when they invited me into their home to take photographs for a website they will be setting up in the near future, I was honored!  Although the weather was a bit overcast at the start of the session, we worked with what we could indoors... Cooper immediately showed me all of his cool toys, and he was especially proud of his UNC basketball.  Luckily, the sun came out, because the backyard was amazing!  Filled with a huge playground set and even some authentic baseball seats from the Durham Bulls' stadium, it was a great place to play and hang out and take pictures!  Check back in a few weeks to see an update on the Brays' website.  I'll be sure to post a link!  And keep this family in your thoughts... if you now of anyone who might be a candidate for the Brays to contact, don't hesitate to let me know!
